Located on a bluff above the Columbia River near Alderdale, Alder Ridge Vineyard is our most southerly vineyard. Winds off the Columbia and a slight northerly aspect moderate the heat at this warm site. This Syrah block produces a somewhat lighter bodied wine, aromatic with distinctive bright cherry and berry flavors with a hint of herbs. The finish is long and elegant. This Syrah is a component of our Washington Syrah and Mo, and is often bottled as a single vineyard selection.
