This beautiful wine is a tribute to the legacy of John Farmer, for over 25 years, the dedicated manager of the eight hundred acre Alder Ridge vineyard. This Horse Heaven Hills AVA vineyard, high on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River, produces well structured varietals due to the severe weather conditions of the Gorge climate. The unique terroir and their diligence in planting, pruning, cropping and hand picking especially for Coeur d’Alene Cellars yields concentrated fruit bursting with varietal flavor and reflecting years of love and care that go into each bottle of Alder Ridge Syrah.

Tasting Notes
The Alder Ridge Vineyard on the southern cliffs of Horse Heaven Hills AVA produces rich, elegant fruit with classic Syrah flavors. The wine has aromas and flavors of berries, cinnamon, vanilla, and citrus peel with a smooth and supple palate and a soft lingering finish.
