"91 Points" Wine Enthusiast, December 2011
This single vineyard, Bordeaux blend (BDX) of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is sourced exclusively from Rob Andrews’ McKinley Springs vineyard, located at 1100 feet elevation in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. A warmer Washington site, the Bordeaux varietals ripen well giving rich fruit flavors, varietal character, and great tannin structure.
BDX is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Grown in the Horse Heaven Hills Vineyard of Rob Andrews at McKinley Springs, it has warm aromas of tobacco, dried herbs, cassis and cherry with a smooth palate of ripe fruit wrapped in spicy cedar.
Full-bodied and flavorful, it pairs well with steaks, grilled or smoked meats, game or lamb.
