"89 Points" Wine & Spirits, December 2011
"90 Points" Wine Enthusiast, December 2011
Sourced exclusively from the beautiful Horse Heaven Hills vineyard of accomplished grower, Rob Andrews, this wine expresses the sunny, warm climate of this southern Columbia Valley appellation. Barrel aging adds a smooth mouth feel and an elegant finish. Moderate tannins and balanced acidity make this Cabernet Sauvignon an excellent accompaniment to food and a good cellar candidate.
Tasting Notes
From Rob Andrews’ McKinley Springs Vineyard in Horse Heaven Hills, this Cabernet Sauvignon is rounded by the addition of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Deep and rich, it features exciting currant, cranberry, raspberry, and black fruit aromas with mocha, chocolate, cedar, and spice on the palate.
Serving Suggestions
Full-bodied yet restrained tannins make it an excellent accompaniment to steak or wild meats, and herbs of rosemary, oregano and basil.
