Our Opulence is crafted from Old Vine Syrah from McKinley Springs Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills. These ancient vines produce intense and robust grapes at harvest. The ripe, jammy fruit is hand-picked and carefully fermented then matured in oak for 20 months to achieve the perfect balance on the palate. Expressive aromas of pumpkin pie spice, orange peel, rose petal and tobacco are very prominent on the nose. Deep, dark fruit tones explode in the mid-palate between soft oak and ripe tannins.

2013 Opulence

  • Vineyard Notes

The warm site of McKinley Springs in the Horse Heaven Hills brings mature tannins, dark fruit and herbal nuances to our flagship Opulence Reserve Syrah. Expressive and aromatic Viognier grapes from McKinley are co-fermented with the Syrah to provide wonderful floral notes to the nose. Malbec from Olsen Vineyards in Yakima provides wonderful blueberry aromas to the wine and gives it a lush, velvety mouthfeel.
