Stillwater Creek Vineyard which sits atop the Royal Slope in the northern part of the Columbia Valley is a late-ripening site which contributes the lion’s share of the Syrah grapes used to compose our Scarlet Lake, a fruity and approachable wine which is delightful on its own or paired with many different cuisines. Scarlet Lake is medium-bodied with loads of dark fruit characters and spice.

2014 Scarlet Lake

  • Vineyard Notes

Grenache and Counoise from Lonesome Springs Ranch in Yakima provide some of the enticing fruit core to Scarlet Lake as well as bolstering its acidity to ensure a healthy aging potential. Mourvedre and Syrah from McKinley Springs Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills provide structure and complexity to this Syrah, as well as length to its lovely and memorable finish. Drink now or in 5 years. It’s your call. Scarlet will have plenty of life left in it in 2021.
